1. What academic skills could you use on the job?
Some academic skills I could incorporate into my job are time management and organization. I will be recording two sets of Focal sheets in the morning, doing an hour scan, recording another two sets of Focal sheets in the afternoon, and doing another hour scan. This will require that I manage my time well during lunch and breaks, since I get off of work at 3. Another skill I'll use is organization. I know that in school I do not organize my tangible work, whatsoever. But with these sheets, I'm going to have to focus on keeping them organized and neat, especially since they have to be in order.
2. What forms of collaboration could you use in a project?
I don't completely understand this question, but I'll do my best to answer it.
Some forms of collaboration I could use in a project is Xcel spread sheets. My mentor will design a page for me to fill out, and he'll have me analyze the apes in the sheets.

3. What technical skills can you use at your internship?
Like I said, some "technical" skills I can use at my internship are my Xcel skills, and photography. I feel like I really would like to incorporate something with art into the project.

4. What new things can you learn while working at your site?
Some new things I can learn are organization skills and just the general behavior behind Gorillas. I've never studied apes, and this will give me a whole new perspective on the animals.

5. How can you exhibit, showcase or otherwise share your work?
This question is hard for me. I can exhibit my work through Xcel spread sheets, but I feel that might be a tad boring for the audience. I want to showcase my project with an exciting method to it, with photos, with art, or just with something that draws attention. I am thinking that I might take many photos of the Gorillas and make a complete photo album with it, or maybe design a magazine with the spread sheets and photos like we did with the Media Saves the Beach project.

6. How can your work or your skills & abilities help your company or organization?
My work is helping my mentor because he said he needed the material, and that it was very important. However, I feel that I could contribute maybe if I gave some photos to the zoo. A friend of mine told me I should submit them to ZooNews Magazine.
Oh, and here are some photos I took today:
